A Note About Struggling Authors

In 2003 "Struggling Authors" was the focus of the entire LLP Bookclub. Our goal was to bring new authors together with a market of devoted readers, but the chasm between them needed a bridge to make it happen.

We hope we've closed the abyss somewhat by creating the Struggling Authors Corner as a separate Division of LLPublish.com.

Let us know how else we can assist you, and what other areas you'd like us to explore while we make the journey together to present YOUR published work to the LLP Bookclub readers.

Why Do We Write?

If you ask that question often enough you start to recognize some repitition in the answers. Even when they come in very different packages, our writers apparently have more in common than most people would expect. Below are the primary reasons that kept bubbling to the top of the count. In related articles we explore those reasons and what makes them such a driving force.

1. Because I have to write --- for creative outlet.
2. Because I have a story--- and need to tell it.
3. Because I read a book that was terrible --- and I know I can do it better.
4. Because I like to tell stories --- and somebody told me I should be a writer.

Want to join the fun? Send an email to that describes WHY you write! And don't be bashful --- your Editor at LLP has given all of the above answers (and a few more) at one time or another. The point is, the reason is not always the same at every moment. But there IS always a reason.

HOW GOOD IS THE STORY?

Sometimes a story can burn into your soul until you're convinced it's the greatest you've ever heard or thought of. This is the one! This one has to be written! And then you get half way through the first half, and discover something's missing. What's worse, you're not sure what it is! (continued . . > )
