COMPARISON SHOPPING
SOMETIMES IT PAYS OFF -- SOMETIMES NOT
Don't Forget To Compare Shipping Cost
And Look For Shipping Bargains on Multiple Items
I'm doing almost ALL of my Christmas shopping online this year.
And for good reason -- the last time I stood in line at the post office to ship holiday packages proved it wasn't the best use of my time. Nor was it the best use of my shrinking budget! When I added the cost of packaging and shipping to the frustration of searching for a parking spot, then standing in line with my armload of packages -- well, you know what I mean.
There is an appeal to browsing multiple stores in my bathrobe at hours of the morning (or evening) when brick and morter stores are either closed or so crowded I wouldn't go anyway. There's also an appeal to the online search features -- shopping by a child's age group, or by a price group, or searching the store's inventory for a particular item and knowing immediately if it;s available.
When I find what I want, I can plug in the destination address --- and both the wrapping and shipping are handled. Honestly, how much better can it get!
